As product owner in Tecsys' product and technology department, Alex Lazzari plays a pivotal role in leading the development and implementation of the company’s warehouse execution system (WES) functionality. Lazzari is responsible for the elaboration and maintenance of the WES development vision, roadmap, product backlog and business priorities to ensure initiatives align with market needs and customer expectations. He works with supply chain stakeholders inside and outside the organization so that he can help guide solutions that serve the broader supply chain industry. He partners with developers to ensure a thorough understanding of feature requirements throughout the development cycle, fostering a seamless workflow that enhances productivity. From inception to beta testing, Lazzari leads the implementation of new product features, overseeing process training and documentation to equip our teams for success. He also drives communication among cross-functional teams, bridges gaps and facilitates collaboration among various stakeholders.
One of Lazzari's primary achievements has been sequencing a coherent multi-phase value plan for the development of the WES software product. This clarity has empowered Tecsys to deliver early-stage features and advance research into the analytical architecture essential for a robust WES solution. In addition to these efforts, Lazzari successfully delivered an early version of WES warehouse monitoring features, which are now being tested at multiple customer sites. He also kickstarted research into Algorithmic Intervention logic, aimed at optimizing daily warehouse user staffing and task assignment prioritization. This initiative is currently in the pilot phase, and has potential to enhance operational efficiency.
In the coming year, Lazzari plans to continue delivering essential WES functionality; enable new real-time analytics and algorithmic capabilities within the WES; and pilot AI and Generative AI use case solutions that can be incorporated into future iterations of the WES product.
