Frequently Asked Questions to Top Supply Chain Projects Award

1.     How do I submit a nomination?

CLICK HERE to complete the electronic nomination form. All applications must be submitted electronically. Applications emailed to Food Logistics and Supply & Demand Chain Executive’s staff or submitted through social media channels will not be considered.

2.    Can I submit a nomination for a project that's been previously submitted?

No, regardless if this project won or not, projects submitted in previous Top Supply Chain Projects awards will be disqualified.

3.    What if the enabler company does not want to be named/listed?

Proprietary information such as a company’s name or the name of a solution will not publish if it’s not provided in the submission. Instead, please use descriptors, such as a large pharmaceutical company or a global 3PL. Please note, if you DO include the company’s name, it will publish.

4.      How long should my responses be?

There is no word count or character limit to the responses. In fact, the more information, the better. Submissions that tell a story and detail the use cases, the results and more are more inclined to be considered.

5.      Is there a limit to the number of nominations I can submit?

Yes. Limit one nomination per project. Limit one nomination per company.

6.      If I submit multiple applications for the same project, will that increase the chances of that nominee winning?

No. In fact, submitting multiple applications for the same project/company could actually hurt the chances of winning. We suggest companies communicate internally to discuss which project to submit.

7.     What is the timeframe of the project to be submitted?

The project must have started within the last 12 months.

8.    How do you determine a winner from the submission?

Submissions must tell a story; they must detail the use cases, the results and more. The more information, the better. Those submissions with one-sentence answers or no examples will not be considered.

Winners ARE NOT determined based on relationship with Food Logistics and Supply & Demand Chain Executive. Winners ARE ALSO NOT determined based on their advertising with Food Logistics and  Supply & Demand Chain Executive. Nominee names and company names are hidden in the vetting process; Food Logistics and Supply & Demand Chain Executive's editorial staff vets based on the submission itself, which is why telling a story and providing clear examples is imperative to determining winners vs. non-winners.

9.      I submitted a nomination. What’s next?

Thank you for submitting your nomination. Now we wait until submissions close before we can begin the vetting process.

10.      How will I know if I won?

After submissions close, Food Logistics and Supply & Demand Chain Executive's editorial staff will need a couple of weeks to vet the nominations. Once winners have been selected, they will receive an email with additional instructions, embargo information, etc.

11.      Can I make changes to the nomination after I hit submit?

No, unfortunately you cannot make edits or changes to the nomination after it’s been submitted electronically.

12.      Do I need to submit logos or anything at time of submission?

There will be places throughout the submission process asking for company logos and jpg images of the solution, however none of them are mandatory to complete the submission.

13.     What is the entry fee?

There is a submission fee associated with this award of $99. This entry fee also includes access to the logo license.

14.    How is my submission judged?

Vetting of the submissions is based on the ability to outline in detail the specifics of the project and its use cases/ROI. Those submissions lacking specifics may not be considered. Case in point: The more information, the better. Winners ARE NOT determined based on relationship with Food Logistics and Supply & Demand Chain Executive. Winners ARE ALSO NOT determined based on their advertising with Food Logistics and Supply & Demand Chain Executive. Nominee names and company names are hidden in the vetting process; Food Logistics and Supply & Demand Chain Executive's editorial staff vets based on the submission itself, which is why, the more information, the better.
