Spend Analysis Specialist Zycus Tackles the Strategic Sourcing Lifecycle
Introduces new modules for planning, executive sourcing programs; emphasizes ease-of-use, moving beyond e-auctions to encourage adoption in procurement organizations

Princeton, NJ — January 22, 2008 — Solution provider Zycus has built its reputation and market niche over the past few years by offering well-regarded software tools that make it easier for companies to tackle some of their toughest spend analysis challenges.

Now Zycus is targeting the e-sourcing market with a new pair of solutions targeted at what the company sees as key challenges to greater adoption of e-tools within procurement and sourcing organizations, including ease-of-use, process deficiencies and an over-emphasis on e-auctions.

The new Zycus eSourcing Solutions suite, version 5,0, includes iSource, a module that features drag-and-drop creation of request for information and quotes, interactive graph-based evaluation of supplier bids, and online negotiation through an auction engine. The suite also includes iPlan, a module aimed at helping sourcing professionals create, develop and deploy sourcing strategies using inbuilt decision-making tools like category profiling, total cost of ownership modeling and demand aggregation.

Together, Zycus said, the new suite moves beyond e-auctions and addresses the entire strategic sourcing process of analysis, planning, supplier evaluation and negotiations.
